Saatri Cottage – Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
Binsar is a haven for nature lovers and is famous for the panoramic views of Himalayan peaks, bio-diversity, local culture and history. It is home to 180 species of resident and migratory birds such as tits, forktails, nuthatches, blackbirds, parakeets, laughing thrushes, magpies, monal, woodpeckers and Eurasian jays. A variety of trees, shrubs and grasses, and a large variety of reptiles and butterflies are also found here. The larger mammals found in the sanctuary include leopard, langurs, barking deer, wild boars, red fox, red giant flying squirrel and monkeys.
Saatri is but a tiny hamlet located on the fringes of Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The picturesque cottage at Saatri offers astounding views of the Kumaon Himalayas from every room.
