Hampi is hot for most part of the year. November to February is the best time to visit the place. The average high ranges from 30 to 37 degrees C, and the average low ranges from 15 to 25 degrees C.
The recommended minimum age for doing this trip is 7 years. However you are the best judge. If your child is physically active and is used to walking long distances, he or she should be able to do it, even if younger than 7. Adequate preparation is necessary though.
